The first officer testified that he stopped the client after she accelerated toward a yellow light where two cars had already stopped, veered to the right, crossed over three lanes of traffic, passed the two stopped cars and ran the now red light. The officer stated there was a moderate odor of alcohol, when asked what the glass of clear liquid was in her lap, she replied “water,” she denied drinking and had glassy eyes and slurred speech. The second officer testified that she smelled of alcohol, had glassy eyes, admitted drinking one beer, did not say the alphabet as instructed and failed the one leg stand field sobriety test. BAC 0.09. NOT GUILTY
August 2014
The officer reported that an officer on private detail had stopped the client for driving without his headlights after the client drove past him down the street he was blocking while his emergency lights were flashing. The officer reported the client failed to complete the ABCs, one leg stand and walk and turn field sobriety tests to his satisfaction and admitted drinking two beers. CASE DISMISSED
