The officer testified he started following the client after he noticed her license plate was not illuminated and she appeared to be going over the speed limit. The officer further testified he stopped her after watching her entire car cross over the double yellow line. The officer stated the client had bloodshot and glassy eyes, slow and deliberate movements, slurred speech and there was an odor of alcohol when she spoke. The officer further stated the client admitted having a couple and, after exiting her car, was unsteady on her feet. The officer testified the client failed to say the alphabet or count backwards as instructed and failed the one leg stand and walk and turn field sobriety tests. NOT GUILTY

The officer reported he was dispatched to a two-car accident and on arrival, spoke with another officer who stated the client first said he was coming from Bridgewater and later said he was coming from Raynham and had difficulty locating his registration. The officer stated the client’s speech was slurred, the client admitted drinking, stumbled upon exiting and used the door for balance, was unsteady on his feet as he walked, and did not say the alphabet or count backwards as instructed. The officer further reported the client did not complete the one leg stand and refused to do the walk and turn field sobriety test. CASE DISMISSED

The first officer reported the client was driving on the wrong side of the road, was swerving from the left side of the road to the right and back and made a wide turn. The first officer stated the client could not find his license, and once the officer located his wallet for him, the client was unable to remove it from his wallet. A second officer reported he immediately detected a strong odor of alcohol, stated the client admitted drinking, had slurred speech and was unable to say the ABCs or count backwards as instructed. The officer also stated the client failed the walk and turn field sobriety test. CASE DISMISSED

The officer testified the client veered to the left, crossing over the center lines and was speeding. The officer stated there was a strong odor of alcohol, the client admitted drinking one or two beers, had bloodshot and glassy eyes, was unsteady on his feet while walking, using his vehicle to maintain his balance and failed the finger-to-nose and one leg stand field sobriety tests. NOT GUILTY

The officer testified the client was stopped at a green light and was not responding to the vehicles blowing their horns behind it. The officer stated that the client appeared to be sleeping, would not wake up when he tapped or banged on the window and shortly thereafter, the unconscious client’s foot slipped off the brake causing the car to move forward, striking another vehicle. The officer further testified that after an ambulance arrived, it was determined that the client was under the influence of heroin. NOT GUILTY

The officer stated the client sped past him at a high rate of speed and upon stopping the car, the client was unable to produce his registration, he smelled strongly of alcohol, had bloodshot and glassy eyes and when asked, the client admitted to drinking two beers. The officer reported the client was unable to count backwards as instructed and upon being asked again, admitted to drinking “three beers at most.” The officer further stated the client failed the one leg stand and walk and turn field sobriety tests. CASE DISMISSED

The officer reported the client failed to stop at an intersection, took a sharp left turn without signaling, weaved over the center, double-yellow lines and after the officer activated the emergency lights, the client drove another 150 yards before stopping. The officer stated he smelled a strong odor of liquor coming from his breath, bloodshot and glassy eyes and slurred speech and the client admitted to drinking several beers at a bar that evening. The officer further reported that the client was unsteady on his feet and swaying back and forth as he walked. The officer also stated the client could not say his ABCs as instructed on the first try, and failed the one leg stand and walk and turn field sobriety tests. 0.15 BAC. CASE DISMISSED
Client is pulled over on state college campus based on cell phone caller tip. Client ordered out of the vehicle and can not perform the alphabet correctly or the one legged stand. Client admits to drinking several beers and takes the breath test with a reading of .16. Result: CASE DISMISSED
